Calzone Pizza Samosas

Another pizza recipe with an exciting twist. These Calzone Samosas are packed with that delicious pizza flavour and wrapped in crispy samosas. This recipe is versatile so you can add whatever fillings you like; I would have added black olives and jalapeños to mine, for example.

You can also make this recipe vegan friendly by using vegan cheese instead of mozzarella and an oil spray (like sunflower or olive) instead of butter spray.

To make these tasty calzone pizza samosas you will need a samosa maker – I used a Smart Choice Samosa Maker.

Ingredients
 1 cup chopped mushrooms
 ½ tsp chopped garlic
 grated mozzarella (or use vegan cheese to make it vegan)
  cup chopped red onions
 1 cup plum tomatoes
 2 tbsp passata
 1 tbsp chopped basil
 ½ cup sweetcorn
 ½ tbsp oregano
 ¼ tsp salt
 1 tbsp butter spray (or any oil spray)
 6 soft tortilla wraps

Method
1

Into a bowl, add your chopped plum tomatoes, chopped mushrooms, red onions, garlic and some grated mozzarella

Mix this together then add your passata

Chop your basil and add it to the bowl

Add some sweetcorn & mix

Add your oregano & salt

Mix well

Pre-heat your Smart Choice Samosa Maker

Butter spray (or any oil spray) the top and bottom samosa plates

Cut your soft tortilla wraps in half & lay them out on the samosa maker

Feel the triangle pockets with your fingers and fill with your salsa

Cover with grated mozzarella

Cover with soft tortilla wrap halves

Spray some butter over the wraps

Close your samosa maker and let cook

Cut out your triangles & serve!
