My infallible Tandoori Marinade works on everything: veggies, paneer, potatoes, jackfruit, firm tofu, and for those who enjoy chicken, wings, or prawns, this works wonderfully with that too! A versatile and delicious marinade that satisfies on every occasion. This super marinade will never let you down.
This marinade is bursting with flavour from a rich variety of spices, including tandoori masala, cumin powder, red chilli powder and paneer tikka masala (or your preferred masala). These spices are brought together in a delicious mix with some some cool yoghurt to soften and blend the flavours seamlessly.
I marinated my chunks of vegetables and halloumi overnight and took them out the next morning, ready to sizzle on the barbecue. Allowing your skewer chunks to soak in spices and seasoning overnight gives them a stronger tandoori taste and adds more flavour to your skewers. You don’t have to leave them for the whole night, but it’s important to let them sit for at least an hour.
