Turmeric Spiced Latte Porridge

This spiced breakfast bowl is like having a turmeric latte poured into your oats. For a deliciously filling and warming breakfast, this Turmeric Spiced Latte Porridge is perfect. Start your day with an exciting breakfast that’s super quick and easy to make – all done in 5 minutes.

This recipe finds a creative and delicious way of adding turmeric to your diet. To make my Turmeric Spiced Latte Porridge even more tasty, I used Flahavan’s Organic Oats for a creamy, wholegrain porridge, as well as Lucy Bee’s Organic Coconut Milk to keep my recipe vegan. I sprinkled some saffron over my porridge but you can use any toppings of your choice, like fresh fruits, nuts, sprinkles for the kids, your favourite seeds, chocolate, nut butters or cocoa nibs.

Ingredients
 1 cup boiling water from the kettle is quicker
 1 cup organic oatsI used Flavahan's
 ½ cup coconut milk
 ½ tsp turmeric powder
  tsp ground black pepper
 ½ tsp cinnamon powder
 1-2 tbsp maple syrup
 toppings of your choice (I used some saffron)

Method
1

Add oats to the boiling water and cook for 1-2mins as you normally would with porridge

Lower heat, add milk

Add all your spices

Turn off heat add your preferred sweetener or none at all

Add your toppings: I sprinkled some saffron on mine, but you can add fruit, sprinkles for the kids, nuts, seeds, chocolate, nut butters etc...
