Vegan Crispy Tofu Fingers

If you’re looking for a new favourite crunchy snack, these Vegan Crispy Tofu Fingers are perfect. This recipe is one of my favourites and even the kids love these delicious, nutty Tofu fingers. You can serve this with any sauce you like – it goes beautifully with my versatile Green-Nut Butter Sauce, or you can pair it with any hot sauces or sweet chilly sauce, as well as mayo, ketchup and mustard. These Tofu Fingers are truly and honestly finger licking awesome!

Easy, delicious and packed with goodness, you can serve your Vegan Crispy Tofu Fingers with a salad, steamed or cooked veggies, with a veggie-loaded rice or with cauliflower rice if you’re looking for a more filling option. This recipe uses ingredients like corn flour and almond milk to make it gluten free and vegan, so everyone can enjoy these crispy fingers.

Here’s a Tip…

If you’re not a fan of nuts you can coat these delicious fingers in breadcrumbs, rolled oats or ground flaxseed instead. This recipe is gluten free and vegan, however, if you’re looking for other options you can coat your fingers in plain flour and egg instead. If you don’t like tofu or don’t have it in the kitchen, you can replace it with paneer or halloumi for added cheesy deliciousness.

Ingredients
 450 g extra firm tofu
 ½ cup corn flour
 ¼ tsp salt
 ¼ tsp ground black pepper
 ¼ tsp paprika powder
 ½ cup almond milk
 ¼ cup chopped roasted hazelnuts or sliced pistachios or sliced/chopped almondsyou can also use rolled oats, ground flaxseed or breadcrumbs to coat your fingers
 1 tbsp sesame oil
 Green-Nut Butter Sauce(optional, but highly recommended!)

Method
1

Using kitchen paper, pat dry some firm tofu

Slice your firm Tofu Block

Pat dry again

Cut your tofu into fingers

Pat dry again

In a bowl, mix 1/2 cup corn flour, 1/4 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp ground black pepper and 1/4 tsp paprika powder

Pour your almond milk into another bowl

Coat your tofu finger in the corn flour mix

Then coat your tofu finger in the milk

The again in the corn flour and again in the milk

Coat in nuts of your choice. You can use chopped roasted hazelnuts, sliced pistachios or sliced/chopped almonds. You can also use rolled oats, ground flaxseed or breadcrumbs to coat your fingers

Place your tofu fingers in the pan and turn them every few seconds. They brown very quickly. This takes about 2mins
