Tandoori Smashed Potatoes

A super easy recipe for golden potatoes infused with tandoori spice. These tandoori smashed potatoes are delicious and perfect for the whole family. Potatoes can take a long time to cook, but this recipe is super quick so you can have your potatoes out in no time. By steaming your potatoes beforehand, you can simply grill them for two minutes to get a crispy finish and your potatoes are done!

These potatoes are bursting with flavour from the tandoori spice blend infusion, crushed garlic cloves and dried mint seasoning. For the best tandoori flavour, I got my tandoori spice blend from East End Foods.

A Little on Potatoes…

It might seem that an unhealthy stigma surrounds potatoes, especially with some of their most consumed forms being overly greasy crisps or salty and oily chips. However, consumed in moderation and in their unprocessed forms, potatoes are a great addition to a healthy diet.

Ingredients
 baby potatoes
 2-3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
 1 tbsp tandoori spice blendI got mine from East End Foods PLC
 1 tbsp rock sea salt or Himalayan rock salt
 3-4 chopped garlic cloves
 1 tbsp dried crushed mint

Method
1

Pierce the baby potatoes with a fork

Steam the potatoes in a microwave steaming tray or a steam pan for about 8mins

3

Add all the remaining ingredients and mix well

4

Place the potatoes on an oven tray using parchment paper

5

Smash the cooked potatoes up with a kitchen hammer or a glass

6

Sprinkle the crushed dried mint

7

Grill for 2mins
